And a nicer First Follower one could not ask for! Glad you liked the photo. I was quite taken with the landscape of New Mexico, particularly the northern half. In my ignorance, I had thought of it as "Arizona East". The High Desert is quite different. River valleys, mountain ranges, the desert mesa ... it's quite lovely.
Santa Fe is a wonderful city, lots of great art, old "downtown" strolls, and a short drive north to the Taos area. The mesa around Taos sits at about 7,000-8,000 ft. with the Sangre de Cristo range as a backdrop. There is a drive you can take, called the "Enchanted Circle", that rises into the mountains, crosses at Bobcat Pass (10,000 ft.) and loops back down through the valley and the Carson National Forest into Taos. Amazing ... and breathtaking for the shutterbug!
Love the black and white. And the idea of snow on the mountains in New Mexico of all places!
