Today's Photo of the Day: one of my personal favorites, and one of the first photos I ever sold. Taken from a stone pier on Achill Island in County Mayo, northwest Ireland. I can remember the fragrant, peaty aroma of the land, the sharp, salty tang of the ocean breeze ... and the sound of the waves gently lapping at the rocky shore.
